What started off as a tiny workshop producing tracksuits for the Italian track team in the 1948 Olympic Games, has become the leading trendsetter for knitwear in the world.
Ottavio and Rosita Missoni began by selling their designs to other labels, but soon decided to start their own fashion house.
By the late 1960’s they were creating media headlines, and being referred to as “the most original and eccentric of the day”.
The business is still family-run from the
Missoni home, where the younger generation - Angela runs the women’s wear section and Luca is in charge of the men’s collections - play a part in continuing the family tradition.
